Compass Points

The Journal of the BCRA Cave Surveying Group

In the process of turning the MS Word documents used for the printed edition of Compass Points into the html for the web editions you see on the site, the WebMaster attempts to remove all the assumptions that Word makes about the platform/browser you are using. The pages are then tested a variety of browser/platform combinations. The list below shows what gets tested for current issues. Some of the older issues may still look less than perfect on some browsers, and all issues might have problems with browser/platform combinations we can't test. Please remember that if you don't tell me about these problems, I won't know and can neither fix the page you are viewing nor avoid the problem recurring with new issues.

Pages are tested on:

The aim is to test both with image loading enabled and disabled, though it is inevitable that many of the articles will make little sense without their diagrams or equations. I also try to test in a variety of screen resolutions and colour depths from 16-grey/256-colour VGA (on the A4) upwards.

You will note that the Webmaster doesn't have a Mac or a Unix/Linux workstation, so would welcome a volunteer to do testing of new issues on such platforms.
