Aldergrove Airport blockade: Day 6

No more live exports appeared. There are vague rumours flying around that would suggest that the airport is looking for a way out of the unpopular trade in live animals. Information that one of the exporters (Sam Smyth) has been sounding out private airfields provides tentative evidence in support of these rumours.

The blockaders have been concentrating their efforts on improving their accommodation (there are now 2 small caravans on site) and organising a fair plan of shifts to keep the momentum of the vigil going.

Despite the constant expression of support from the public, the inevitable stream of verbal abuse and assorted projectiles from members of the "animal abuse community" means that the protesters cannot afford to drop their guard at any time day or night.
